The best way to learn how to ice skate is with Kent Valley Ice Centre Group Lessons!

Our objective is to have a Fun and Safe program for all levels (ages 3 to Adult), to promotes physical fitness, teach correct skating techniques and to develop coordination, strength and balance.

The health benefits are that ice skating helps build endurance, strengthen muscles and increase flexibility.  Calories burned during recreational ice skating is about 250-810 per hour and competitve skating can be up to 450-1080 per hour.

*no class June 7th

Classes meet once a week 8 weeks.  This 8 week series is only $99.25 (with your $10 off paid registration at least 3 days prior to class starting).  Prepaid Skate Rental is only $22.02.  

Prices include:
One 30-minute class each week on Tuesday or Saturday and Admission to the Public Session after each class.

Additional Information...

What to wear to class?  Ice rinks are very cold so dress in warm clothes with comfort and ability to move freely.  It is recommended that you dress in layers so as you warm up you can remove some to stay comfortable.  

Helmets are highly recommended for children 6 and under, as well as first time adults.

On the first day, be sure to arrive early in order to get your skates on and be ready to meet your teacher a few minutes before the class starts.

Certificates are presented to all students at the end of each series.
